Job Context:
– Either permanent contract via remote.com so you have a job with a company in your own country, or via invoicing if you have your own management company for tax optimisation
– 40h per week full time job

– Base Salary + Unlimited Bonus as 10% on revenue you manage (new and recurring)
– Bonus is staggered upwards, so the more you bring in as revenue, the higher the % will also be and this the bigger piece of that revenue pie you receive
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and motivating the sales team to achieve sales targets and business growth. This role involves developing effective sales strategies, managing client relationships, and analyzing market trends to drive company revenue. The Sales Manager oversees daily sales operations, sets performance goals, and provides coaching and feedback to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve business goals.
- Manage and mentor the sales team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment: This is typically an office-based role, with occasional travel for client meetings or conferences. The Sales Manager may work in a fast-paced environment with regular interaction with internal teams and external clients.

Merch and Effect is a fast-growing, boutique marketing agency that specializes in point-of-sale (POS) for the Beverage industry. We work with trade marketing managers and marketing directors in global beverage groups that do between 100M USD to 1B USD in turnover.
We strategize, design, manufacture, and deliver Point of Sales merchandise for Beverage marketing campaigns. We stand for innovative excellence in both our creative strategies and our execution of the production and delivery.
We are fully decentralized and currently have 25 team-members all over the world (Milan, Dubai, Boston, Brisbane, Manila, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, …).
We’re on a mission to become the go-to name in beverage POS within the next 3 years. We’ve been around since 2010, and have built a lot of credibility with loyal customers. What You’ll Do:
You’ll be a key player and decision maker in our senior leadership team, reporting straight to the CEO. Your mission? To build a growth machine that continuously finds, converts, and keeps new clients. This will consist of finding new approaches, improving our brand awareness, building strategic client partnerships, training a team to scale out those approaches, and then managing the numbers.
Trust, tribal speak, informal relationships are what is needed in our space of big b2b enterprise sales.
We have a few people already who do parts of the business development, so you won’t start fully on you’re own, but you will need to also further build out your team the way you see fit
Your Day-to-Day:
– Strategic outreach: determine very specific targets, build lists, work with the design team to make a customized valuable proposal, and get a foot in the door and a seat at the table.
– Key Account Management: Be the face of our company for some existing key clients, ensuring their needs are exceeded and find creative ways to grow our business further with them through horizontal or outside referrals
– Assets: iterate and improve on our current sales assets and approach by understanding the targets and helping us differentiate
– Sales Team Leadership: Drive the team’s vision, Hire/fire, train, and inspire your team members, provide the necessary tools, identify the few key data points, and holding everyone accountable.
– Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Set realistic targets, track progress vs. the goals, and share insights with the rest of the leadership team
Targets/Expectations:
- Business Development:
- Bring in 2M+ USD per year in revenue (from new or returning clients). This is roughly the equivalent of signing up 10 to 20 new clients/year
- Attend 1 to 3 trade shows per year (Berlin, Singapore, London)
- Leadership: Your target is to build a team of 6+ BDR’s below you in the next 2 years
- Account growth: Grow your clients from an initial 50K USD test project to getting their full 1M+ USD POS budget
